If you’re interested in printing your own face shield using my design, it is uploaded to the NIH 3D Printing Repository and can be found here: https://3dprint.nih.gov/discover/3DPX-013811
If you want to donate to our fundraiser for supply costs, including filament, shields (transparencies, acetate sheets, etc), foam strips, and elastic bands, as well as shipping costs to send face shields to those in need, our fundraising link can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/donate/657260285091802/669341857216978/
As of May 1st, we have donated over 450 face shields to various healthcare organizations to support frontline healthcare providers in their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Thank you everyone for your support.
After printing and getting feedback from frontline healthcare providers on the feedback of the face shields, we decided to design our own.
- Uses a standard 3-hole punch transparency/report cover
- Flat brim for full coverage on forehead
- Slits to maintain curvature of shield
- Buttonhole elastic for adjustable fit
- Foam strip for added comfort
